Our Lady of the Lake School Families (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles. . . etc.) can benefit immensely by using the SCRIP Program.  The chart below lists examples of the savings that can be realized by a family just by using SCRIP for your every day expenses.  Half of your savings dollars goes directly to your school tuition and half is used for teacher salaries.  So when you buy groceries, fill your car with gas or buy clothing you are also paying a portion of your tuition bill.  It is that easy!! So take a little time to fill out the SCRIP order form on the back and send it to school with your children.  We will fill your order and send it back to you

You can purchase your SCRIP gift cards:
· Every day from 9 am - 3 pm at the Parish Office
· Every 1st and 3rd Sunday after each Mass
· School parents will receive an order form in the weekly school newsletter.  Just fill out an order form and send it to school.  The order will be filled and sent home the same day.
· Order online at shopwithscrip.com

                                                     SCRIP - WHAT IS IT?

Traditional fundraisers like                                                           bake sales or auctions can            provide a  significant, one-time boost to your nonprofit organization’s funding.  They can be effective, but they also take a lot of time and effort.  Product fundraisers are popular too, but you can only ask parents to sell cookie dough or wrapping paper so many times.

A SCRIP program gives our parents and parishioners the power to fund raise all the time, without doing anything more than using SCRIP gift cards to pay for our everyday shopping.  We don’t have to spend money on things we don’t need, make room to organize events in our busy schedules, or sell to friends and relatives.

When families in our Parish / School place orders for SCRIP, they pay face value for the gift cards.  So if someone orders a $100 gift card for the Home Depot, they’re paying $100 and getting the full value of what they paid.  Now, when our church places an order with SCRIP, we pay less than the full face value for cards (2-13% less, depending on the retailer).  The Home Depot, for example, offers a 4% rebate, so we pay $96 for that $100 gift card.  What happens to that $4 difference.  It is awarded to our school as a rebate!
