FAQ
-
Catholics believe what Jesus said in the Bible - that the bread and wine that are presented and consecrated at Mass become Jesus’ Body and Blood.
Recognizing that Jesus is with us, in substance (not just spirit) through the Eucharist, we take time in His presence to pray in adoration of Him.
This can be done with the Host presented in a monstrance (such as pictured) or by sitting in church, where the Eucharist is kept safe in the tabernacle.
-
Nope! Choices include:
hourly prayer once a week,
substituting for an another person who is sick or away, or
praying for a few minutes whenever it’s convenient.
Children and visitors are welcome. The chapel can accommodate several persons at any given time.
If you do wish to commit to an hour weekly, please contact our adoration coordinator, Teresa Ochsenbauer.
For hourly volunteers there are special benefits with the Lord.

Above all, reverence. Children and visitors are welcome. The chapel can accommodate several people at any given time.
When you enter, you may bless yourself with the holy water at the door and kneel down toward the Eucharistic presence of our Lord.
Silence is generally maintained. There is a white noise machine and some prayer materials that you may use. There are no specific prayers; you may just sit or kneel in the presence of Jesus, adoring Him.
Many people will also use the time for Lectio Divina (prayerful reading), prayer journaling, personal devotions, and other silent prayer.
There are votive candles available in a rack that can be lit for your intentions (suggested donation $1).
The adoration chapel is not a place for chatting, eating, or pets.
-
Yes, but entry will be through the main north entrance of the church. Please inquire with the pastoral center office (715-682-7620) to make sure that that entrance is open when you plan to visit.

St. Paschal Baylon (1540-1592) was a Franciscan Friar devoted to poverty and adoration of the Eucharist. He was born on Pentecost and died on Pentecost. Pope Leo XIII declared him “the seraph of the Eucharist.”
