Baptism at OLL
Children under the age of reason:
Parents should contact the office to fill out & return a baptismal intake form. After the form is returned, we will match you up with a priest or deacon to prepare for this sacrament.
All other youth:
Parents should contact the office for special conditions.
Adults:
Baptism occurs after a preparation process called OCIA. Check out the link for more info.
1st Reconciliation & 1st Communion at OLL
The Sacraments of first reconciliation and first communion are prepared for in a single program for elementary-aged* children in 2nd grade and higher. This program integrates a CGS-style approach to help children meditate on our faith and how it is expressed in the Sacraments. We also use the guidebooks, "Renewed by Jesus," and "Receiving Jesus," from Ascension Press.
Children and their parents will meet during the Sunday Family of Faith sessions, plus a few times on our own throughout the school year, including a retreat.

Confirmation at OLL
The next group will begin Wednesday night sessions in September 2025, with the reception of the Sacrament in fall of 2026.
Any students in grades 10 and up who want to prepare for being Confirmed should begin with coming to the High School formation sessions. From there we will get you more information on Confirmation prep. Preparing for the Sacrament will entail some sessions that are in addition to the regular Wednesday night faith formation.
Each candidate must have a real freedom to accept or reject the reception of Confirmation at this time in their lives; it should be a personal choice based on an informed decision. Confirmation IS NOT a graduation from faith formation. A confirmed Catholic has an active and genuine interest in knowing, living, and sharing their Catholic faith throughout his/her life.
